Super Soap Sliver Saver
I make my own soap and I hate to see any little sliver of a bar go to waste. I have tried to mash bits of bars together to force them into a larger piece. I have also considered saving all of the slivers to re-batch at a later time. Unfortunately the later idea creates the need to have a place to store all of these bits and energy to do the re-batch.
So in an attempt to save my little slivers for personal use and not just to delight the tub drain I have made my little "Super Soap Sliver Saver". All I did was take some crochet cotton that I had gotten for free off of "Freecycle" (thank you Ginny) and use a #1 crochet hook. I did a chain of 28 and then proceeded to make 30 rows of 25 double crochet. I folded it in half and stitched it together by doing a single crochet all around the outside except for over the opening. Voila one little pouch to be able to save and use my precious soap. Simply drop in the soap and scrub, scrub, scrub. Sorry drain you will have to wait.
